How to Comment

We would love to hear from you and get your feedback.  If you are a parent, please comment using only your first name so as not to give away the full name and identity of your child.   (If you have a Google account and are logged in, you can still select "Anonymous" when you leave your comment and sign your first name, or "Mary's Mom" as your closing.)


Leaving a comment is THIS easy!

1. Click on the heading of the post on which you wish to comment.
2. Scroll down until you can see the “Comments” section.  Click on the word "Comments" and you will be taken to a commenting window.
3. You will be asked for your name (you can use a nickname) and email address (this is not published) or you can select "Anonymous" and just type your first name at the end of your message.
4. Click “Submit Comment.”
5. Your comment will not appear immediately.   All comments are moderated by Mrs. Koch.  Once it is approved, it will appear on the site!

Feel free to share your thoughts with us throughout the year by commenting on our posts. We are excited about our year and we are glad you are along for the ride!

Components of a Quality Comment:

1. Open your comment as you would a letter by starting off with “Dear Mrs. Koch” or “Dear Tuesday's SAGE Students."
2. Compliment the writer in a specific way.
3. Ask a question about the post, students, lesson or activity.  This encourages the blogger to write a response to your comment.
4. Share your knowledge of a subject by adding additional information to the post.
5. This is an academic blog.  Please write your comment about the post and our learning.
6. Avoid using more than one exclamation point.  To share your enthusiasm, be elaborative and use more words, not more exclamation points.
7. Check your comment for correct spelling, spacing and punctuation before you submit it.
8. Don’t reveal any personal information about yourself or others in your comment.
9. Be nice!
10. Close with your first name if you are a student, or with "Mary's Mom" if you are a parent.
