Take a Peek at Our School

Here are some pictures and information about Briarcliff school.

Take a Peek Around Briarcliff on PhotoPeach
Briarcliff School is in the middle of a neighborhood.  Some children walk to school, a few ride their bikes, some ride the bus and a few are brought to school by their grandparents.  How many students are in your schools?  What grade levels are in your school?

  1. While the school was built in the 1950s it gleams with brigtly waxed floors, clean fresh painted walls and well decorated classrooms with a top notch staff. Briarcliff is a great place for my daughter to be- great pictures to show an example of Braircliff!

  2. Hi Ryan,

Thank you for posting a comment. I hope our partner classes get an idea of what Briarcliff is like. Between now and December, our blog will be the focus three more times. If the children continue their questions and discussions, they will learn a great deal about each other. I think we have some interesting and unique opportunities ahead of us.

  3. We loved looking at your school tour. We are very envious of your curly slide!
We will try and film our school so you can see how it is different.

  4. Dear Charlotte,

We hope you will come back to our blog and make more comments. We love having visitors here. We call our "dinner hall" the "cafeteria" or the "lunch room." Our principal calls it the Bear Cafe. Do you eat in your classroom or do you have a dinner hall? Does your school cook lunches for the students? Do students bring their lunch from home? Our favorite school lunches are chicken nuggets and mashed potatoes, salad, nachos (corn chips with cheese,) macaroni and cheese and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. What is your favorite lunch?

  8. Dear Mrs. Koch,

Thank you for the tour of Briarcliff. My daughter was also excited to see the curly slide and wanted to go there right away. I was happy to see the garden and I wish more schools would have one. You said the students can work in the garden, do they get to eat the food too? Or is it used for cafeteria meals? Either way, I’m glad that they can see the plants grow and be able to identify what they produce. We started a small garden using pots a couple of years ago and my kids are always thrilled to find a bell pepper, tomato, or pick the kale. It’s hard to keep the kids out of it to let them finish growing!
